Heroes of ages past is a 2d single player top-down action rpg with difficult combat, awesome loot,  tons of skills, and oh did I say tons of loot??

  • Fight your way through hordes of enemies as you advance through the game.
  • Learn skills as you progress to destroy your enemies with style!

  • Build a small base where you can smelt, rest, respawn, teleport, craft, enchant, and more!
  • Craft tons of items to equip your hero. The more you craft, the better the item and the higher the chance for random stats on the item.
  • Items are randomized which means you will never get the same items twice in a playthrough.
  • Plenty of unique items to satisfy your need for being overpowered!
  • Follower system which lets you equip your follower with almost any item and followers level up with you and gain new skills as well!
  • Intelligent AI that will go around obstacles in order to try to rip your face!

Hey man! did you program this from scratch? Any tips for someone just getting started?

Hey Coubs, to answer your question, yes, everything is programmed from scratch. It takes a lonnnnngggg time to program everything as I am a one-man team. My best tip to start would be to download unity and follow tutorials on youtube. Also, it doesn't hurt to follow some courses online. Hope this helped you!

I am currently changing the way my game is played, there will be more randomly generated levels and some pre-generated ones, kind of like diablo where you have boss levels that are static but the levels in-between are randomly generated.

Cheers!

Awesome thanks for the advice!
